Like a cavity progresses and enlarges until a root canal is needed instead of a filling, a subluxation also progresses. Unlike a cavity, however, pain may not be the only symptom, and most often isn’t the first symptom.
When a subluxation begins in your lower back, your lumbar the disc space might be severely reduced before you begin to feel stiffness and possibly occasional low back pain. This is Phase I. When left without correction, progresses to Phase II which already has “mild” spinal arthritis, disc degeneration and very likely you will experience things like numbness and tingling in your feet, possibly pain radiating down your leg.
By the time it progresses to Phase III, arthritis is severe, movement is greatly reduced with leg muscle atrophy and weakness; tired legs when standing is also common. If you still miss the signs, by the time you reach Phase IV, the bones of the lower back become fused and correction is no longer possible.
Our goal in our Palm Beach Gardens office is to check families so that we find any problem when it is just beginning so that kids will grow up healthier than their parents and grandparents.
